TPMS Reset Procedures: Notes

NOTE: The TPMS in this vehicle is an Indirect system. It does not use pressure sensors installed in the tires. The TPMS monitors the tire pressures indirectly using the data sent from the ABS wheel speed sensors.
NOTE: Perform the tire pressure monitoring system initialization when the following operations have been performed:
  • Tire pressures have been adjusted
  • Tires have been rotated
  • Tires or wheels have been replaced
  • DSC HU/CM is replaced
  • DSC HU/CM connector is disconnected
  • Battery is replaced
  • Negative battery cable is disconnected

When the warning light illuminates, and the warning beep sound is heard (about 3 seconds), tire pressure is too low in one or more tires and perform the Tire Pressure Monitoring System Initialization.
