Shift Lever Component Removal/Installation

Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Remove the side wall. (See SIDE WALL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
Remove the center console box. (See CENTER CONSOLE BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
Remove the console panel. (See CONSOLE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
Remove the center console. (See CENTER CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
Remove the shift lever knob.

Remove the shift panel. (See SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
Remove the front console. (See FRONT CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
Remove the rear blower unit. (See REAR BLOWER UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
Remove the shift lever component.
- Remove the shift lever component installation nuts.

  Tightening torque
  - 16-22 N.m {1.7-2.2 kgf.m, 12-16 ft.lbf}
- Remove the control cable end using a fastener remover.

- Press the tabs on the control cable as shown below and remove the shift lever component from the control cable.

Install in the reverse order of removal.
