| DETECTION CONDITION |
- The PCM monitors the electronic throttle valve actuator current. If the PCM detects the electronic throttle valve actuator current is below the threshold current, the PCM determines that the electronic throttle valve actuator circuit has a malfunction.
Diagnostic support note
- This is a continuous monitor (CCM).
- The check engine light illuminates if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition during the first drive cycle.
- FREEZE FRAME DATA (Mode 2)/Snapshot data is available.
- The DTC is stored in the PCM memory.
|
| FAIL-SAFE FUNCTION |
- Stops the idle air control.
- Stops the drive-by-wire control and sets to a throttle valve opening angle necessary for the minimum driveability.
- Stops the fuel injection for the two cylinders.
|
| POSSIBLE CAUSE |
- Throttle body connector or terminals malfunction
- Throttle valve actuator malfunction
- PCM connector or terminals malfunction
- Open circuit in wiring harness between the following terminals:
- Throttle body terminal F-PCM terminal 2BE
- Throttle body terminal E-PCM terminal 2BF
- PCM malfunction
