Yes | Go to the next step. |
| No | Record the FREEZE FRAME DATA (Mode 12) on the repair order, then go to the next step. | ||
| 2 | VERIFY RELATED SERVICE BULLETINS AVAILABILITY
|
Yes | Perform the repair or diagnosis according to the available Service Bulletins.

| No | Go to the next step. | ||
| 3 | VERIFY RELATED PENDING CODE AND STORED DTC
|
Yes | Go to the applicable DTC inspection. (See DTC P2405 ). |
| No | Go to the next step. | ||
| 4 | INSPECT EVAP SYSTEM LEAK DETECTION PUMP CONNECTOR AND TERMINALS
|
Yes | Repair or replace the connector or terminals, then go to Step 11. |
| No | Go to the next step. | ||
| 5 | INSPECT EVAP SYSTEM LEAK DETECTION PUMP POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT FOR OPEN CIRCUIT OR SHORT TO GROUND

Yes | Go to the next step. |
| No | Inspect the EVAP system leak detection pump power supply circuit related fuse.
Go to Step 11. |

| 6 | INSPECT EVAP SYSTEM LEAK DETECTION PUMP MOTOR CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO GROUND

Yes | If the short to ground circuit could be detected:
If the short to ground circuit could not be detected:
Go to Step 11. |

| 7 | INSPECT PCM CONNECTOR AND TERMINALS
|
Yes | Repair or replace the connector or terminals, then go to Step 11. |
| No | Go to the next step. | ||
| 8 | INSPECT EVAP SYSTEM LEAK DETECTION PUMP MOTOR CIRCUIT AND GROUND CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO EACH OTHER
|
Yes | Repair or replace the wiring harness for a possible short to each other, then go to Step 11. |
| No | Go to the next step. | ||
| 9 | INSPECT EVAP SYSTEM LEAK DETECTION PUMP MOTOR CIRCUIT FOR OPEN CIRCUIT
|
Yes | Go to the next step. |
| No | Repair or replace the wiring harness for a possible open circuit, then go to Step 11. | ||
| 10 | INSPECT EVAP SYSTEM LEAK DETECTION PUMP
|
Yes | Replace the EVAP system leak detection pump, then go to the next step. (See EVAPORATIVE EMISSION (EVAP) SYSTEM LEAK DETECTION PUMP REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ). |

| 11 | VERIFY TROUBLESHOOTING OF DTC P2401 COMPLETED

Yes | Replace the PCM, then go to the next step. (See PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ). |
