Crash Zone Sensor Removal/Installation [Standard Deployment Control System]: Notes

WARNING:
  1. Switch the ignition off.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for 1 min or more.  (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5] .)
  3. Remove the set plate. (See SET PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  4. Remove the front bumper. (See FRONT BUMPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  5. Remove the nut.

  6. Remove the cover.
  7. Remove the bolt.

  8. Disconnect the connector. (See CONNECTOR DISCONNECT NOTE .)
  9. Remove the crash zone sensor.
  10. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  11. Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).
  12. Verify that the air bag system warning light illuminates for approx. 6 s  and turns off.
