DTC P1697-86: Cruise Control Switch (Distance Switch) Malfunction Signal Reception: Notes

System malfunction location Cruise control switch (DISTANCE switch) malfunction signal reception
Detection condition 
  • The cruise control switch (DISTANCE switch) on-signal is input for 10 min or more  .
Fail-safe 
  • Inhibits the Mazda radar cruise control (MRCC) system control
Possible cause 
  • Cruise control switch malfunction
  • Malfunction in circuit between cruise control switch and start stop unit
  • Start stop unit malfunction
  • Vehicle control module (V/C-module) malfunction
