Vehicle Control Module (V/C-Module) Removal/Installation (MRCC)
NOTE:
- The vehicle control module (V/C-module) prior to replacement stores the vehicle specification information.
- The new vehicle control module (V/C-module) does not store any vehicle specification information.
- When the ignition is switched ON after the vehicle control module (V/C-module) is replaced, the vehicle control module (V/C-module) reads the vehicle specification information sent via CAN transmission from the instrument cluster, and stores the vehicle specification information.
- The automatic configuration function is only performed when the vehicle control module (V/C-module) is newly replaced.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. (refer to NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5] .)
- Remove the front scuff plate. (RH) (refer to FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the front side trim. (RH) (refer to FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the TAU bracket. (With center display) (refer to TUNER AND AMP UNIT (TAU) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the Bluetooth® unit component. (Without center display) (refer to Bluetooth® UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Disconnect the vehicle control module (V/C-module) connector.
- Remove the bolts.
- Remove the vehicle control module (V/C-module).
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- When newly replacing the vehicle control module (V/C-module), switch the ignition ON and perform the vehicle control module (V/C-module) automatic configuration.
- Perform the radar sensor aiming adjustment. (refer to RADAR SENSOR AIMING (MRCC) .)
- Clear the DTCs. (refer to CLEARING DTC [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5] .)
