DTC P0711-00: TFT Sensor Circuit Range/Performance: Notes

DTC P0711:00 (FS5A-EL) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

DTC P0711:00 TFT sensor circuit range/performance
DETECTION CONDITION
  • Under the following conditions, a difference between the actual ATF temperature and the ATF temperature when the engine is started of 2.77°C {37.0°F} or less for 300 s
  • After cold engine start
  • Selector lever position is D or M position
  • ATF temperature is 40°C {104°F} or less
  • Input voltage from the TFT sensor: 4.66 V or less
  • Under the following conditions, ATF temperature is 123°C {254°F} or more(1) or 130°C {266°F} or more (1)or 5 s
  • After cold engine start
  • Input voltage from the TFT sensor: 0.12 V or more

    Diagnostic support note

  • The check engine light illuminates if the TCM detects the above malfunction condition in two consecutive drive cycles or in one drive cycle while the DTC for the same malfunction has been stored in the TCM.
  • The automatic transaxle warning light does not illuminate.
  • PENDING CODE is available.
  • FREEZE FRAME DATA is available.
  • The DTC is stored in the TCM memory.
FAIL-SAFE FUNCTION -
POSSIBLE CAUSE
  • Coupler component connector or terminal malfunction
  • TFT sensor malfunction
  • TCM malfunction
