Lock Link Removal/Installation

CAUTION:
  • If the lock is released by rotating the link of the lock link, the cable may be deformed. Do not rotate the link of the lock-link except when releasing the inner/outer handle lock.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the following parts:
    1. Side door garnish (See SIDE DOOR GARNISH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Rear side trim (See REAR SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Sliding door trim (See SLIDING DOOR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Disconnect the cable from the lock link.

  4. Remove the bolts.

  5. Remove the lock link.
  6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
