Brake Light Unit Removal/Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5] .)
  2. Perform the following procedure:
    1. Remove the following parts:
      1. Rear seat cushion (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
      2. Rear side seat back (See REAR SIDE SEAT BACK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
      3. Tire house trim (See TIRE HOUSE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
      4. C-pillar trim (See C-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
      5. High-mount brake light (See HIGH-MOUNT BRAKE LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION. ;
    2. Fold the rear seat back.
    3. Remove the rear package trim. (See REAR PACKAGE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Disconnect the connector.
  4. Remove the bolt.

  5. Pull out the hook in the direction of the arrow (1) shown in the figure.
  6. Remove the brake light unit.
  7. Install in the reverse order of removal.
