Rear Abs Wheel-Speed Sensor Removal/Installation

  1. Remove the following parts:
    1. Rear package tray (See REAR PACKAGE TRAY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Trunk covering (See TRUNK COVERING REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Trunk board (with trunk board) (See TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. Trunk end trim (See TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    5. Rear scuff plate (See REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    6. Rear seat cushion (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    7. Rear center seat belt lower anchor installation bolt (See REAR CENTER SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    8. Rear seat back (See REAR SEAT BACK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    9. Trunk side trim (See TRUNK SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  2. Disconnect the rear ABS wheel-speed sensor connector.

  3. Partially peel back the rear mudguard. (See REAR MUDGUARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)

  4. Detach the rear ABS wheel-speed sensor wiring harness from the clip.
  5. Press the rear ABS wheel-speed sensor tab and press out the sensor toward the outside of the vehicle.

  6. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
  7. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  8. After installation, verify that there is no twisting in the rear ABS wheel-speed sensor.
