Indicator Unit Inspection: Notes

Terminal Voltage Inspection

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Remove the following parts:
    1. Center console tray (See CENTER CONSOLE TRAY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Shift bezel (See SHIFT BEZEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Upper panel (See UPPER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. Selector lever knob (See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    5. Shift panel (See SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    6. Console side panel (See CONSOLE SIDE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    7. Front console box (See FRONT CONSOLE BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    8. CD player (See CD PLAYER REMOVAL .) (See CD PLAYER INSTALLATION .)
    9. Front console (See FRONT CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    10. Side wall (See SIDE WALL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    11. Rear console (See REAR CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    12. Driver-side front scuff plate (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    13. Driver-side front side trim (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    14. Hood release lever (See HOOD RELEASE LEVER AND RELEASE CABLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    15. Fuel-filler lid opener lever (See FUEL-FILLER LID OPENER AND LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    16. Driver-side lower panel (See DRIVER-SIDE LOWER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    17. Glove compartment (See GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    18. Center panel (See CENTER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    19. Center lower panel (See CENTER LOWER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Connect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  4. Verify that the voltages of each of the terminals are as indicated in the terminal voltage table (reference).
    • If the voltage is not as specified in the terminal voltage table (reference), inspect the parts under Inspection item(s) and related wiring harnesses.
      • If the system does not work normally even though the inspection items or related wiring harnesses do not have any malfunction, replace the indicator unit. (See INDICATOR UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
