Center Display Removal/Installation: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2016 Mazda CX-5. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:
  • When installing the center display, the center display could interfere with the climate control unit and scratch the climate control unit. Perform the servicing by spreading a cloth in the position indicated in the figure.

  1. Install the center display.

  2. Connect all the connectors.
  3. Install the bands shown in the figure.

  4. Install the screws.

  5. Connect all the connectors.

  6. Temporarily position the center display on the ribs and align the hole positions of the instrument panel with clips.

  7. Press the shaded area in the position shown in the figure and engage clips to the instrument panel.

    CAUTION:
    • If the center display switch area and screen are pressed it could cause a malfunction.
  8. Install the screws.

  9. Install the bolt.
  10. Install the following parts:
    1. Center panel (See CENTER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Decoration panel (See DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Glove compartment (See GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  11. Connect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
