DRIVER-SIDE DOOR GLASS CANNOT BE OPERATED MANUALLY OR AUTOMATICALLY (POWER WINDOW SYSTEM) DESCRIPTION AND POSSIBLE CAUSES

Description Driver-side door glass cannot be operated manually or automatically using power window main switch
Possible Causes
  • Power window main switch malfunction
  • Power window motor malfunction
  • Malfunction in power window main switch power supply circuit
    • Short to ground in wiring harness between P.WINDOW1 30A fuse and power window main switch terminal 1K
    • Short to ground in wiring harness between P.WINDOW2 25A fuse and power window main switch terminal 1L
    • P.WINDOW1 30A fuse malfunction
    • P.WINDOW2 25A fuse malfunction
    • Open circuit in wiring harness between P.WINDOW1 30A fuse and power window main switch terminal 1K
      • Open circuit in wiring harness between P.WINDOW2 25A fuse and power window main switch terminal 1L
  • Malfunction in wiring harness between power window main switch terminals and power window motor terminals
    • Open circuit in wiring harness between power window main switch terminal 1J and power window motor terminal E
    • Open circuit in wiring harness between power window main switch terminal 1H and power window motor terminal F
    • Short to ground in wiring harness between power window main switch terminal 1J and power window motor terminal E
      • Short to ground in wiring harness between power window main switch terminal 1H and power window motor terminal F
  • Open circuit in wiring harness between power window main switch terminal 2A and body ground
  • Connector poor contact or terminal damage
