Keyless Receiver Inspection
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION ).
- Remove the following parts:
- Wind blocker (See WIND BLOCKER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Seat (LH) (See SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Scuff plate (LH) (See SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Tire house trim (LH) (See TIRE HOUSE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Side shelf (LH) (See SIDE SHELF REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Disconnect the connector from the keyless receiver.
- Remove the keyless receiver. (See KEYLESS RECEIVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Reconnect the connector.
- Connect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION ).
- Verify that the voltages of each of the terminals are as indicated in the terminal voltage table (reference).
- If the voltage is not as specified in the terminal voltage table (reference), inspect the parts under Inspection item(s) and related wiring harnesses.
- If the system does not operate normally even though the parts under Inspection Item(s) and related wiring harnesses do not have any malfunction, replace the keyless receiver. (See KEYLESS RECEIVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- If the voltage is not as specified in the terminal voltage table (reference), inspect the parts under Inspection item(s) and related wiring harnesses.
Terminal Voltage Table (Reference)
| Terminal | Signal name | Connected to | Measurement conditions | Voltage (V) | Inspection item(s) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| A | Power supply | Start stop unit | Under any condition | Approx. 5.0 | Start stop unit |
| B | DATA | Start stop unit | Because this terminal is for communication, determination using terminal voltage inspection is not possible. | Start stop unit | |
| D | GND | Body ground | Under any condition | 1.0 or less | Ground |
