Knock Sensor (KS) Removal/Installation: Notes

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Remove the plug hole plate. (See PLUG HOLE PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Remove the intake manifold. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  4. Remove the bolts.

  5. Remove the intake manifold stay.
  6. Disconnect the KS connector.
  7. Remove the bolt.

  8. Remove the KS. (See KS INSTALLATION NOTE .)
  9. Install in the reverse order of removal.
