DTC B1DA5-29: Incorrect Rear Roof Position [Retractable Hardtop Control Module]: Notes

DTC B1DA5:29 (RETRACTABLE HARDTOP CONTROL MODULE) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

Description Incorrect rear roof position
Detection condition
  • The retractable hardtop control module detects an incorrect rear roof position.
Fail-safe
  • Stops retractable hardtop operation
Possible cause
  • Short to ground in wiring harness between the following terminals:
    • Retractable hardtop control module terminal 4D and rear roof link limit switch (RH) terminal A
  • Open circuit in wiring harness between the following terminals:
    • Retractable hardtop control module terminal 4A and rear roof link limit switch (RH) terminal B
    • Retractable hardtop control module terminal 4E and rear roof link limit switch (RH) terminal C
  • Short to ground in wiring harness between the following terminals:
    • Retractable hardtop control module terminal 4I and rear roof link limit switch (LH) terminal A
  • Open circuit in wiring harness between the following terminals:
    • Retractable hardtop control module terminal 4J and rear roof link limit switch (LH) terminal B
    • Retractable hardtop control module terminal 4F and rear roof link limit switch (LH) terminal C
    • Retractable hardtop control module terminal 4F and rear roof link limit switch (LH) terminal D
  • Rear roof link limit switch (RH) malfunction
  • Rear roof link limit switch (LH) malfunction
  • Retractable hardtop control module malfunction
