Neutral Sensor Removal/Installation: Notes

Replacement Part 

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION (US) .)
2. Remove the following parts as a single unit. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(VIN 7 & VIN L) (US)] .) (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(VIN M) (US)] .)
   • Air cleaner cover
   • Air cleaner element
   • Fresh-air duct
   • Air cleaner case
   • Air hose
   • Resonance chamber
3. Remove the neutral sensor using the following procedure.

   1. Disconnect the neutral sensor connector.
   2. Remove the neutral sensor and O-ring as a single unit.
   3. Remove the O-ring from the neutral sensor.
4. Install in the reverse order of removal. (See NEUTRAL SENSOR INSTALLATION NOTE .)
