Propeller Shaft Removal/Installation: Notes

CAUTION:
- If the constant velocity joint is bent during Propeller Shaft removal/installation or transportation after servicing, the Constant Velocity Joint boot may contact the metallic cover and the boot may be damaged. Insert a rag between the boot and the metallic cover before servicing to protect the boot
- Remove the following parts: (See FLOOR UNDER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

- Floor under cover No. 2
- Floor under cover No. 1
- Remove the fasteners and bolt in the order shown in the figure.
- Remove the insulator.
- Remove the following parts if necessary:
- Brace Bar
- Tunnel Member
- Remove the clip.
- Remove the bolts.
- Set the bracket aside.
- Remove the SCR converter from the mount rubber.
- Disconnect the SCR Converter from the Main Silencer. (See.)
- Suspend the SCR converter using a cable as shown in the figure.
- Remove in the order indicated in the figure.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- Perform a road test and verify that there is no abnormal vibration or noise.
