Diagnostic Procedure

Step	Inspection		Action
1	PERFORM HEADLIGHT AUTO LEVELING SYSTEM INITIALIZATION Perform headlight auto leveling system initialization. (Refer to HEADLIGHT AUTO LEVELING SYSTEM INITIALIZATION .) Clear the AFS control module DTCs using the M-MDS. (Refer to CLEARING DTC [ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFS) CONTROL MODULE] .) Perform the DTC inspection for the AFS control module using the M-MDS. (Refer to DTC INSPECTION [ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFS) CONTROL MODULE] .) Is DTC B1041:54 displayed?	Yes	Perform the headlight auto leveling system initialization again, then go to the next step. (Refer to HEADLIGHT AUTO LEVELING SYSTEM INITIALIZATION .)
1		No	Go to Step 3.
2	VERIFY THAT REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED Clear the AFS control module DTCs using the M-MDS. (Refer to CLEARING DTC [ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFS) CONTROL MODULE] .) Perform the DTC inspection for the AFS control module using the M-MDS. (Refer to DTC INSPECTION [ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFS) CONTROL MODULE] .) Is DTC B1041:54 displayed?	Yes	Replace the AFS control module, then go to the next step. (Refer to ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFS) CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
2		No	Go to the next step.
3	VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED Are any other DTCs displayed?	Yes	Repair the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (Refer to DTC TABLE [ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFS) CONTROL MODULE] .)
3		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
