DTC P012F:00 ECT/Engine oil temperature: Correlation error
DETECTION CONDITION
  • Any one of the following conditions is met, the PCM detects a circuit/range performance problem:
  • The temperature detected by the Engine oil temperature sensor after engine start is 15°C {59°F} higher than the temperature detected by ECT sensor No. 1 after engine start.
    • The temperature detected by the Engine oil temperature sensor after engine start is -25°C {-13°F} lower than the temperature detected by ECT sensor No. 1 after engine start.
MONITORING CONDITIONS
  • The following conditions are met:
  • Period vehicle being left: 6 h or more
  • Battery voltage: 8 V or more
  • The following DTCs are not detected:
  • Engine oil temperature sensor: P0197:00, P0198:00
    • ECT sensor No. 1: P0117:00, P0118:00

    Diagnostic support note

  • This is a continuous monitor (engine cooling system).
  • The check engine light illuminates if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition in two consecutive drive cycles or in one drive cycle while the DTC for the same malfunction has been stored in the PCM.
  • PENDING CODE is available if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition during first drive cycle.
  • FREEZE FRAME DATA/Snapshot data is available.
  • DTC is stored in the PCM memory.
