Climate Control Unit Removal/Installation (Auto A/C)

NOTE:

The climate control unit prior to replacement stores the vehicle specification information.
The new climate control unit does not store any vehicle specification information.
When the ignition is switched ON after the climate control unit is replaced, the climate control unit reads the vehicle specification information sent via CAN transmission from the instrument cluster, and stores the vehicle specification information.

Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
Remove the following parts:
1. Driver-side front scuff plate (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
2. Driver-side front side trim (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
3. Hood release lever (See HOOD RELEASE LEVER AND RELEASE CABLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
4. Fuel-filler lid opener lever (See FUEL-FILLER LID OPENER AND LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
5. Driver-side lower panel (See DRIVER-SIDE LOWER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
6. Center console tray (See CENTER CONSOLE TRAY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
7. Shift bezel (See SHIFT BEZEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
8. Upper panel (See UPPER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
9. Selector lever knob (See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)

Remove the screws.

Remove the climate control unit while detaching the pins.
Disconnect the connector.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
Switch the ignition ON and perform the climate control unit automatic configuration.
Perform the DTC inspection for the climate control unit using the M-MDS. (See FOREWORD [CLIMATE CONTROL UNIT (FULL-AUTO AIR CONDITIONER)] .)
- If a DTC is detected, perform troubleshooting according to the DTC. (See DTC TABLE [CLIMATE CONTROL UNIT (FULL-AUTO AIR CONDITIONER)] .)
