Tweeter Inspection

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (Refer to NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Remove the tweeter. (Refer to TWEETER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    CAUTION:
    • Because the tweeter is built into the condenser, if the tester does not contact the measurement area shown in the figure, the correct resistance cannot be measured.
  3. Inspect the resistance between tweeter terminal A and the measurement area shown in the figure.

    Tweeter resistance 

    • Without Bose®: 3.4-4.6 ohms
    • With Bose®: approx. 3.6 ohms

    • If not within the specification, replace the tweeter. (Refer to TWEETER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
