LED Illumination Inspection

Disconnect the negative battery cable. (Refer to NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
Remove the upper column cover. (Refer to COLUMN COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
Remove the meter hood. (Refer to METER HOOD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
Remove the push button start. (Refer to PUSH BUTTON START REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)

Apply battery positive voltage and connect the ground to the push button start terminals and verify that the LED illuminates as indicated in the table.

COMPONENT DESCRIPTION

B+ terminal	Ground terminal	Illumination positions (Color)
J	D	START/STOP/ENGINE indicator light (White)
	F	Push button start indicator light (Amber)
	H	Push button start indicator light (Green)

If the LED does not illuminate as indicated in the table, replace the push button start. (Refer to PUSH BUTTON START REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
