Diagnostic Procedure

Step	Inspection		Action
1	INSPECT OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SENSOR CONNECTOR Switch the ignition to off. Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for 1 min or more. (Refer to NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .) Disconnect the occupant classification sensor connector. Inspect the occupant classification sensor connector terminals for poor connection (such as damaged/pulled-out pins, and corrosion). Is there any malfunction?	Yes	Replace the malfunctioning part, then go to Step 2.
1		No	Go to the next step.
2	PERFORM SAS CONTROL MODULE DTC INSPECTION Reconnect the disconnected connectors. Connect the negative battery cable. (Refer to NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .) Clear the DTC for the SAS control module using the M-MDS. (Refer to CLEARING DTC [SAS CONTROL MODULE (TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM)] .) Perform the DTC inspection for the SAS control module using the M-MDS. (Refer to DTC INSPECTION [SAS CONTROL MODULE (TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM)] .) Is the DTC B00C0:93 displayed?	Yes	Replace the occupant classification sensor control module. (Refer to FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .) Perform the DTC inspection again. If the same DTC is displayed, go to the next step.
2		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
3	INSPECT PASSENGER SENSING SYSTEM Switch the ignition to off. Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for 1min or more . Reconnect the disconnected connectors. Connect the negative battery cable. (Refer to NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .) Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on). Clear the DTC for the SAS control module using the M-MDS. (Refer to CLEARING DTC [SAS CONTROL MODULE (TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM)] .) Perform the DTC inspection for the SAS control module using the M-MDS. (Refer to DTC INSPECTION [SAS CONTROL MODULE (TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM)] .) Is the DTC B00C0:93 displayed?	Yes	Replace the SAS control module. (Refer to SAS CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] .)
3		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
