Receiver/Drier Removal/Installation: Notes

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Discharge the refrigerant. (See REFRIGERANT RECOVERY .) (See REFRIGERANT CHARGING .)
  3. Bend back the front over fender. (See FRONT BUMPER REMOVAL .) (See FRONT BUMPER INSTALLATION .)
  4. Remove the front bumper. (See FRONT BUMPER REMOVAL .) (See FRONT BUMPER INSTALLATION .)
  5. Remove the fastener.

  6. Remove the closing plate.
  7. Remove bolts A while holding the receiver driver by hand.

  8. Remove spacer
  9. Remove bolt B.
  10. Remove the bracket.
  11. Remove the receiver/drier. Do not allow compressor oil to spill.
    CAUTION:
    • If moisture or foreign matter enters the refrigeration cycle, cooling ability will be lowered and abnormal noise will occur. Always immediately plug all open fittings after removing any refrigeration cycle parts to keep moisture or foreign matter out of the cycle.
  12. Install in the reverse order of removal. (See Receiver/drier Installation Note .)
  13. Perform the refrigerant system performance test. (See REFRIGERANT SYSTEM PERFORMANCE TEST .)
