DTC B1044-01: Auto Leveling Sensor Circuit Malfunction: Notes

Auto leveling sensor circuit malfunction |
| Detection condition |
- Auto leveling sensor circuit voltage of 0.25 V or less
or 4.75 V or more
is detected by AFS control module for 10 s or more with the ignition switched ON (engine off or on).

| Fail-safe |
- The swivel actuator is moved to the center.
- The headlight leveling actuator is stopped at the position when the malfunction is determined.

| Possible cause |
- Auto leveling sensor connector or terminal malfunction
- AFS control module connector or terminal malfunction
- Short to ground in wiring harness between the following terminals:
- AFS control module terminal F and auto leveling sensor terminal C
- AFS control module terminal T and auto leveling sensor terminal B
- AFS control module terminal J and auto leveling sensor terminal A
- Short to power supply in wiring harness between the following terminals:
- AFS control module terminal F and auto leveling sensor terminal C
- AFS control module terminal T and auto leveling sensor terminal B
- AFS control module terminal J and auto leveling sensor terminal A
- Open circuit in wiring harness between the following terminals:
- AFS control module terminal F and auto leveling sensor terminal C
- AFS control module terminal T and auto leveling sensor terminal B
- AFS control module terminal J and auto leveling sensor terminal A
- Auto leveling sensor malfunction
- AFS control module malfunction
