Diagnostic Procedure

Step	Inspection		Action
1	VERIFY IF MALFUNCTIONING LOCATION IS AUTO LIGHT SENSOR/RAIN SENSOR DEPENDING ON REPEATABILITY Clear the DTC for the BCM using the M-MDS. (Refer to CLEARING DTC [BCM] .) Operate the wiper and washer switch to the AUTO position. Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) and wait for 5 s or more . Retrieve the BCM DTCs using the M-MDS. (Refer to DTC INSPECTION [BCM] .) Is the same DTC displayed?	Yes	Replace the auto light sensor/rain sensor, then go to the next step. (Refer to RAIN SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
1		No	Go to Step 3.
2	VERIFY THAT REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED Clear the DTC for the BCM using the M-MDS. (Refer to CLEARING DTC [BCM] .) Operate the wiper and washer switch to the AUTO position. Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) and wait for 5 s or more . Retrieve the BCM DTCs using the M-MDS. (Refer to DTC INSPECTION [BCM] .) Is the same DTC displayed?	Yes	Replace the BCM, then go to the next step. (Refer to BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
2		No	Go to the next step.
3	VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED Are any other DTCs displayed?	Yes	Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (Refer to DTC TABLE [BCM] .)
3		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
