Steering Angle Adjustment

  1. Loosen the tie-rod end locknuts.
  2. Remove the steering gear boot clamp.
  3. Rotate the tie rod and adjust the steering angle.
    NOTE:
    • The travel distance of the right and left tie rods should be the same.
  4. Rotate the tie rod and adjust so that dimension L in the graphic does not exceed the specification.

    Specification 

    • 54-67 mm {2.2-2.6 in}
  5. Tighten the tie-rod end locknuts.

    Tightening Torque 

    • 69-98 N.m {7.1-9.9 kgf.m, 51-72 ft.lbf}
  6. Verify that the boot does not have any twisting and install the boot clamp.
  7. After steering angle adjustment, always inspect and adjust the total toe-in. (Refer to TOTAL TOE-IN ADJUSTMENT .)
