Solar Radiation Sensor Removal/Installation (Auto A/C)

NOTE:
  • Wrap the remover tool with protective tape so that the solar radiation sensor and the dashboard do not get damaged.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Remove the glove compartment (See GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Insert a hand into the dashboard from the passenger's area and press the lower part of the solar radiation sensor connector upward.

  4. Insert a remover tool into the position (1) shown in the figure.

  5. Move the remover tool in the direction of arrow (2) shown in the figure and detach tab A.
  6. Move the remover tool in the direction of arrow (3) shown in the figure and detach tab B.
  7. Remove the solar radiation sensor from the dashboard.

  8. Disconnect the solar radiation sensor connector.

    CAUTION:
    • After the solar radiation sensor has been removed, the sensor connector could fall behind the dashboard making the installation difficult. Therefore, hold the rooted end of the solar radiation sensor connector using a clip or similar tool to prevent it from falling.
  9. Install in the reverse order of removal.
