Rear Seat Back Removal/Installation: Notes
CAUTION:
- When performing the procedure with a rear seat back removed from the vehicle, perform the procedure on a clean cloth so as not to damage or soil the seat.
NOTE:
- When removing the rear seat back from the vehicle or putting it back in, it can be performed easier by removing the head restraint.
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Fold the rear seat back.
- Remove the following parts.
When removing the rear seat back (LH)
- Head restraint
- Trunk board (See TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Sub-trunk (See SUB-TRUNK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Rear seat cushion. (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Rear center seat belt lower anchor installation bolt (See REAR CENTER SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
When removing the rear seat back (RH)
- Head restraint
- Trunk board (See TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Sub-trunk (See SUB-TRUNK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
When removing the rear seat back (CENTER)
- Head restraint
- Trunk board (See TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Sub-trunk (See SUB-TRUNK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Disconnect the remote handle cable. (With remote handle lever) (See REMOTE HANDLE LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Open the surface fastener and partially peel back the rear seat back trim.
- Remove the bolts.
- Remove the rear seat back.
- Install in the reverse order of removal. (See Rear Seat Back Installation Note .)
