DTC B12E8-12; Power Liftgate (PLG) Front Switch Circuit Malfunction: Notes

DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSES

Description Power liftgate (PLG) front switch circuit malfunction
Detection condition
  • Power liftgate (PLG) control module detects a short to power supply in the power liftgate (PLG) front switch circuit.
Fail-safe
  • Stops the power liftgate (PLG) system operation.
Possible cause
  • Power liftgate (PLG) front switch connector or terminal malfunction
  • Power liftgate (PLG) front switch malfunction
  • Power liftgate (PLG) control module connector or terminal malfunction
  • Short to power supply in wiring harness between power liftgate (PLG) front switch terminal D and power liftgate (PLG) control module terminal 1Y
  • Power liftgate (PLG) control module malfunction
