Diagnostic Procedure

DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

STEP	INSPECTION		ACTION
1	PERFORM POWER LIFTGATE (PLG) CONTROL MODULE CONFIGURATION (USING AS-BUILT DATA) Using the M-MDS, perform the power liftgate (PLG) control module configuration (using As-Built data). (See TBD__PLG_CONFIG_AS-BUILT.) Clear the DTC for the power liftgate (PLG) control module using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC [POWER LIFTGATE (PLG) CONTROL MODULE] .) Retrieve the power liftgate (PLG) control module DTCs using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [POWER LIFTGATE (PLG) CONTROL MODULE] .) Is the same DTC displayed?	Yes	Using the M-MDS, perform the power liftgate (PLG) control module configuration (using As-Built data) again, then go to the next step. (See TBD__PLG_CONFIG_AS-BUILT.)
1		No	Go to Step 3.
2	VERIFY THAT REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED Clear the DTC for the power liftgate (PLG) control module using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC [POWER LIFTGATE (PLG) CONTROL MODULE] .) Retrieve the power liftgate (PLG) control module DTCs using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [POWER LIFTGATE (PLG) CONTROL MODULE] .) Is the same DTC displayed?	Yes	Replace the power liftgate (PLG) control module, then go to the next step. (See POWER LIFTGATE (PLG) CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
2		No	Go to the next step.
3	VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED Are any other DTCs displayed?	Yes	Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [POWER LIFTGATE (PLG) CONTROL MODULE] .)
3		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
