DTC P0045:00 DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

DTC P0045:00	Wastegate valve actuator control circuit low input
DETECTION CONDITION	If the voltage from the wastegate valve actuator is below specified value, the PCM determines that the wastegate valve actuator circuit has a malfunction. Diagnostic support note This is a continuous monitor (CCM). The check engine light does not illuminate. FREEZE FRAME DATA is not available. Snapshot data is available. DTC is stored in the PCM memory.
FAIL-SAFE FUNCTION	Stop the supercharging pressure control. (fully open the wastegate valve)
POSSIBLE CAUSE	Wastegate valve connector or terminals malfunction Short to ground in wiring harness between the following terminals: Wastegate valve terminal F-PCM terminal 1CD Wastegate valve terminal B-PCM terminal 1BZ PCM connector or terminals malfunction Open circuit in wiring harness between the following terminals: Wastegate valve terminal F-PCM terminal 1CD Wastegate valve terminal B-PCM terminal 1BZ Wastegate valve actuator malfunction PCM malfunction
