DTC P007D-00: Boost Air Temperature Sensor Circuit High Input: Notes

DTC P007D:00 DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

DTC P007D:00 Boost air temperature sensor circuit high input
DETECTION CONDITION
  • The PCM monitors the boost air temperature sensor signal. If the PCM detects that the boost air temperature sensor voltage at the PCM terminal 2U is above 4.96 V for 5 s, the PCM determines that the boost air temperature sensor circuit has a malfunction.

Diagnostic support note
  • This is a continuous monitor (CCM).
  • The check engine light illuminates if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition during the first drive cycle.
  • FREEZE FRAME DATA/Snapshot data is available.
  • DTC is stored in the PCM memory.
FAIL-SAFE FUNCTION
  • Not applicable
POSSIBLE CAUSE
  • Boost pressure sensor/boost air temperature sensor connector or terminals malfunction
  • PCM connector or terminals malfunction
  • Boost air temperature sensor malfunction
  • Short to power supply in wiring harness between boost pressure sensor/boost air temperature sensor terminal B and PCM terminal 2U
  • Open circuit in wiring harness between the following terminals:
    • Boost pressure sensor/boost air temperature sensor terminal B-PCM terminal 2U
      • Boost pressure sensor/boost air temperature sensor terminal A-PCM terminal 2J
  • PCM malfunction
