DTC P0238:00 DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

DTC P0238:00	Boost pressure sensor circuit high input
DETECTION CONDITION	The PCM monitors the input voltage from the boost pressure sensor. If the input voltage at the PCM terminal 2AS is above 4.89 V for 5 s, the PCM determines that the boost pressure sensor circuit has a malfunction. Diagnostic support note This is a continuous monitor (CCM). The check engine light illuminates if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition during the first drive cycle. FREEZE FRAME DATA/Snapshot data is available. DTC is stored in the PCM memory.
FAIL-SAFE FUNCTION	Stop the supercharging pressure control. (fully open the wastegate valve)
POSSIBLE CAUSE	Boost pressure sensor/boost air temperature sensor connector or terminals malfunction PCM connector or terminals malfunction Boost pressure sensor malfunction Short to power supply in wiring harness between boost pressure sensor/boost air temperature sensor terminal D and PCM terminal 2AS Open circuit in wiring harness between the following terminals: Boost pressure sensor/boost air temperature sensor terminal C-PCM terminal 2AE Boost pressure sensor/boost air temperature sensor terminal D-PCM terminal 2AS Boost pressure sensor/boost air temperature sensor terminal A-PCM terminal 2J PCM malfunction
