DTC P2564-00: WASTEGATE Valve Position Sensor Circuit Low Input: Notes
DTC P2564:00 DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE
| DTC P2564:00 |
Wastegate valve position sensor circuit low input |
| DETECTION CONDITION |
- If the input voltage at the PCM terminal 1BJ is less than 0.25 V for 5 s, the PCM determines that the wastegate valve position sensor circuit is low.
MONITORING CONDITIONS
- Battery voltage: 8 V or more
- 0.5 s have elapsed after the ignition was switched ON (engine off or on)
Diagnostic support note
- This is a continuous monitor (CCM).
- The check engine light does not illuminate.
- FREEZE FRAME DATA is not available.
- Snapshot data is available.
- DTC is stored in the PCM memory.
|
| FAIL-SAFE FUNCTION |
- Stop the supercharging pressure control. (fully open the wastegate valve)
|
| POSSIBLE CAUSE |
- Wastegate valve connector or terminals malfunction
- Short to ground in wiring harness between the following terminals:
- Wastegate valve terminal A-PCM terminal 1CF
- Wastegate valve terminal E-PCM terminal 1BJ
- PCM connector or terminals malfunction
- Wastegate valve position sensor signal circuit and ground circuit are shorted to each other
- Open circuit in wiring harness between wastegate valve terminal A and PCM terminal 1CF
- Wastegate valve position sensor malfunction
- PCM malfunction
