Power Liftgate (PLG) Touch Sensor Removal/Installation

- Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Remove the following parts:
- Liftgate upper trim (See LIFTGATE UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Liftgate side trim (See LIFTGATE SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Liftgate recess cover (See LIFTGATE RECESS REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Power liftgate (PLG) rear switch (With power liftgate (PLG) system) (See POWER LIFTGATE (PLG) REAR SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Liftgate lower trim (See LIFTGATE LOWER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Disconnect the connector.
- Remove the screw.
- Remove the clips.
- Press the clip tabs in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and detach the clip from the liftgate.
- Move the power liftgate (PLG) touch sensor grommet in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and detach the tabs.
- Pull the wiring harness out of the vehicle body.
- Remove the power liftgate (PLG) touch sensor.
- Move the clip B in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and remove it.
- Remove the clip A.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
