Occupancy Sensor Inspection

WARNING:
- Handling a side air bag improperly can accidentally operate (deploy) the air bag, which may seriously injure you. Read the service warnings/cautions in the workshop service information before handling the front seat (side air bag integrated). NOTE:
- If cargo is put on the sensor detection area of the occupancy sensor, the sensor may respond.
- Switch the ignition off.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Remove the passenger-side front seat. (See FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Disconnect the occupancy sensor connector.
- Verify that the continuity between the occupancy sensor terminals is as indicated in the table.
- If not as indicated in the table, replace the passenger-side front seat cushion pad. (See FRONT SEAT CUSHION TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
