Climate Control Unit Removal/Installation (Manual A/C)

- Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Remove the following parts:
- Glove compartment (See GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Decoration panel (See DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Upper panel (See UPPER PANEL REMOVAL .) (See UPPER PANEL INSTALLATION .)
- Rear console (See REAR CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Shift lever knob (MTX) (See MANUAL TRANSAXLE SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [C66M-R] .)
- Selector lever knob (ATX) (See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Shift panel (See SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Front console box (without electric parking brake) (See FRONT CONSOLE BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- CD player (with CD player) (See CD PLAYER REMOVAL .) (See CD PLAYER INSTALLATION .)
- Side wall (See SIDE WALL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Front console (See FRONT CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Press the tab down, then slide the wire off the link.
- Remove the wire from the wire clamp.
- Remove the screws.
- Remove the climate control unit.
- Disconnect the connectors.
- Pull out the air mix wire and airflow mode wire from the hole.
- Remove the indicator unit from the climate control unit. (See INDICATOR UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- Verify that the dial operation is correct by fully turning each of the dials from one end to the other.
