Solar Radiation Sensor Inspection

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Remove the center speaker grille. (See SPEAKER GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Remove the front center speaker. (See FRONT CENTER SPEAKER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  4. Remove the solar radiation sensor. (See SOLAR RADIATION SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  5. Shine a fluorescent light or expose the solar radiation sensor to natural sunlight.
  6. Connect the positive (+) lead to terminals B, C and negative (-) lead to terminal A of the solar radiation sensor, and verify that the voltage value is output.
