Solar Radiation Sensor Removal/Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. To prevent scratches or damage, affix protective tape to the dashboard.

  3. Insert the flathead screwdriver between the dashboard and the solar radiation sensor to assure a space for inserting the remover tool.
  4. Move the remover tool in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure to detach tab A of the solar radiation sensor from the dashboard.

  5. Move the remover tool in the direction of arrow (2) shown in the figure to detach tab B of the solar radiation sensor from the dashboard.
  6. Remove the solar radiation sensor.

    CAUTION:
    • After the solar radiation sensor has been removed, the sensor connector could fall into the dashboard making the installation difficult. Therefore, hold the rooted end of the solar radiation sensor connector using a clip or similar tool to prevent it from falling.
  7. Disconnect the connector.
  8. Install in the reverse order of removal.
