Memory function

The memory function stores malfunctions detected by the malfunction detection function in the volatile memory or non-volatile memory in each module as a DTC.
The stored DTC can be read by the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION .)
The DTCs stored in the non-volatile memory are not cleared even if the ignition is switched off or the negative battery terminal is disconnected. Therefore, it is necessary to clear the memory from each module after repairing the malfunctions. (See CLEARING DTC .)
