Section 14 (On-Board Diagnostic - Introduction): Configuration: Notes

NOTE:
  • If the configuration is performed, the set values for the personalization features may be reset to the initial values (condition when shipped from factory). Verify the set values for the personalization features with the customer before performing the configuration and perform the personalization features setting after performing the configuration.
  1. Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.
  2. Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).
  3. Perform the following procedure using the M-MDS.
    1. Press [Start] for the vehicle identification.
    2. Press the [Toolbox] tab.
    3. Press the [Work Support] icon.
    4. Press [Configuration].
    5. Press [Run] for Configuration.
  4. Select the applicable module according to the module table. (See MODULE TABLE .)
  5. Perform the configuration following the instructions on the screen.
    CAUTION:
    • When performing the configuration, CAN communication is cut temporarily and communication error DTCs may be detected. After performing the configuration, perform the DTC inspection and clear DTCs if any are displayed.
  6. Perform the DTC inspection. (See DTC INSPECTION .)
    • If a DTC is displayed, clear it. (See CLEARING DTC .)
      • If the DTC is displayed again, repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
