Simulation Inspection: Notes

  1. Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.
  2. Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).
  3. Perform the following procedure using the M-MDS.
    1. Press [Start] for the vehicle identification.
    2. Press the [Toolbox] tab.
    3. Press the [Diagnosis] icon.
    4. Press [Run] for Data Logger.
  4. Select the applicable module according to the module table. (See MODULE TABLE .)
  5. Select the applicable simulation item.
    NOTE:
    • The simulation function can only be implemented on items displaying the following icon.

  6. Inspect the operation of each part according to the directions on the screen.
NOTE:
  • If the operation of the output part cannot be verified as a result of implementing the simulation function, an open/short circuit, sticking, or operation malfunction with the output part can be considered.
