Front Map Light Inspection

NOTE:
- The integrity of the front map light cannot be determined from a single part. When inspecting the front map light, perform the following procedure.
- Operate the front map light switch and verify that the front map light turns on.
If front map light turns on:
- The front map light is normal therefore the inspection is completed.
If front map light does not turn on:
- Go to the next step.
- Perform the DTC inspection for the BCM. (See DTC INSPECTION
.)
If DTCs are detected: :
- Repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) (US)] .)
If DTCs are not detected:
- Replace the front map light because there is a malfunction in the front map light. (See REAR MAP LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
