Procedure Using M-MDS

- Empty the vehicle except for the spare tire, jack and vehicle tools.
- Inspect the wheel alignment. (See WHEEL ALIGNMENT PRE-INSPECTION .) (See FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT (US) .) (See REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT (US) .)
- Adjust the tire pressure to the specification. (See WHEEL AND TIRE SPECIFICATION (US) .)
- Move the vehicle to level ground.
- Connect the M-MDS.
- Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).
- Activate the M-MDS and perform the following procedure.
- Press [Start] to start the vehicle identification.
- Press the [Toolbox] tab.
- Press the [Work Support] icon.
- Press [LIGHTING SYSTEMS].
- Press [Run] for [Calibrating Headlight Leveling Sensor].
- Confirm the Calibrating Headlight Leveling Sensor procedure from Step (7) to Step (10), and press [Next].
- Verify that the following conditions/operations are met/completed and then press [Next].
- Wheel alignment and tire pressure are inspected
- Vehicle is moved to level ground
- Vehicle is not shaken up/down, left/right
- Worker is out of vehicle
- When the M-MDS processing is completed, press [Next].
- Press [Next] to complete [Calibrating Headlight Leveling Sensor].
- Switch the ignition OFF and press [Next].
- Perform the headlight aiming adjustment. (See HEADLIGHT AIMING (US) .)
