DTC U0126:87 [ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFS) CONTROL MODULE] DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location Communication error with steering angle sensor
Detection condition
  • The adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module cannot receive CAN signal from the steering angle sensor.
Fail-safe
  • The swivel actuator is moved to the center.
  • Control of the headlight auto leveling system is continued.
Possible cause
  • Malfunction in CAN communication line between steering angle sensor and adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module
