Diagnostic Procedure

DTC B1495:14 [POWER LIFTGATE (PLG) CONTROL MODULE] DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step Inspection Action
1 INSPECT FOOT-MOTION DETECTION UNIT CONNECTOR CONDITION Yes Go to the next step.
No Repair or replace the connector, then go to Step 5.
2 DETERMINE IF MALFUNCTION CAUSE IS FOOT-MOTION DETECTION SENSOR UP Yes Replace the foot-motion detection sensor up, then go to the next step.
(See FOOT-MOTION DETECTION SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
No Go to Step 6.
3 DETERMINE IF MALFUNCTION CAUSE IS FOOT-MOTION DETECTION SENSOR LWR Yes Replace the foot-motion detection sensor lwr, then go to the next step.
(See FOOT-MOTION DETECTION SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
No Go to Step 6.
4 DETERMINE IF MALFUNCTION CAUSE IS FOOT-MOTION DETECTION UNIT Yes Replace the foot-motion detection unit, then go to the next step.

No Go to Step 6.
5 VERIFY THAT REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED Yes Repeat the inspection from Step 1.
  • If the malfunction recurs, replace the power liftgate (PLG) control module.

Go to the next step.
No Go to the next step.
6 VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED
  • Are any other DTCs displayed?
Yes Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.

No DTC troubleshooting completed.
