Auto Leveling Control Module Removal/Installation
CAUTION:
- When replacing the auto leveling control module, perform the configuration to assure that the system operates correctly.
NOTE:
- The auto leveling control module reads the vehicle attitude angle information and records the vehicle attitude angle while it is unoccupied when the headlight auto leveling system initial setting is performed after the auto leveling control module is replaced.
- Even if the battery is disconnected, the unoccupied vehicle attitude angle recorded by the auto leveling control module is not erased.
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Remove the front scuff plate (RH). (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the front side trim (RH). (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- While pressing tabs of the bracket in the direction of arrows (1) shown in the figure below, pull the auto leveling control module connector in the direction of arrow (2) to pull out the auto leveling control module from the bracket.
- Disconnect the connector and remove the auto leveling control module.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- If the auto leveling control module is replaced, perform the following procedure.
- Perform the auto leveling control module configuration using the M-MDS. (Refer to [CONFIGURATION] in the service information.)
- Perform the headlight auto leveling system initialization. (See HEADLIGHT AUTO LEVELING SYSTEM INITIALIZATION .)
